    About This IRLA Pack

    The Strength Training Pack is a 5-coin strength challenge built around the three core barbell lifts plus a bodyweight benchmark plus a consistency milestone. Bench press 0.75x your body weight. Squat 1.25x your body weight. Deadlift 1.5x your body weight. Bang out 25 pushups in a single set. Complete 20 workouts in a single month.

    How It Works

    1. Open the pack. Tear the seal on the Introductory IRLA. You earned it the moment you committed to the strength challenge.

    2. Work through the four lift-based milestones in whatever order your training program supports: Bench press, squat, and deadlift all scale to your body weight (so the challenge is relative to you, not to a one-size-fits-all benchmark). The 25-pushup milestone is the bodyweight floor.

    3. Log each PR in the IRLA Companion App. Earn the Major IRLA, Relentless, by hitting 20 workouts in a single month. The PRs hit, the leg days survived, the pushups completed, the month of consistency, all of those memories materialized in your hand.

    Why are the lifts scaled to body weight instead of a fixed number?

    Because strength is relative. A 200-pound bench press is impressive for a 150-pound person and a warm-up for a 300-pound person. Scaling each lift to your body weight makes the challenge equally meaningful no matter who's lifting. The targets, 0.75x bodyweight for bench, 1.25x for squat, 1.5x for deadlift, are calibrated to be challenging but achievable for an intermediate lifter with consistent training.

    What if I'm not interested in barbell lifts and prefer machines or dumbbells?

    The IRLA Strength Pack is structured around the three classic barbell lifts because they're the most universally tracked and recognized strength benchmarks. If you train primarily on machines or with dumbbells, the achievements can still be done with substitutes: dumbbell bench, goblet squat, dumbbell deadlift or trap-bar deadlift. The achievement is hitting the relative weight, not the specific bar.

    Does Relentless require workouts every single day?

    No. 20 workouts in a month means 20 workouts, period. They can be spread however your training plan calls for. A typical pattern would be 4 to 5 workouts per week with rest days, which adds up to 20 by month's end. Heavy days, light days, accessory days, and active recovery sessions all count as workouts.

    What counts as a "workout"?

    Anything that meaningfully challenges your body for at least 30 minutes. Lifting sessions, hard cardio, conditioning, sport practice. A 15-minute walk doesn't count. A 45-minute HIIT class does. The IRLA system trusts you to be honest with yourself about whether what you did was actually training or just movement.

    Is this safe for beginners?

    The pushup and consistency milestones are accessible to most beginners. The barbell lift milestones (bench, squat, deadlift) are probably not. If you're new to lifting, work with a coach or follow a structured program (Starting Strength, StrongLifts 5x5, or similar) to build to the IRLA targets safely. Pushing for PRs without proper form is how people get hurt. The coins will wait until you're ready.

    Are the coins really metal?

    Yes. Solid zinc alloy. Minor IRLAs are about 35mm diameter. Relentless (the Major IRLA) is about 50mm. Real challenge coins that feel right at home in your gym bag.

    What is IRLA?

    IRLA stands for In Real Life Achievements - collectible coins you earn for completing real-world goals.

    Every IRLA Pack focuses on a single category of life experiences (Hydration, Running, Reading, Adulting, Treat Yo Self, and so on). Each Pack contains 6 coins sealed in separate compartments inside the packaging. You only get to open a compartment when you've completed that coin's specific achievement.

    Track your progress in the free IRLA Companion App. Reveal each coin as you earn it. Display the ones you've earned on the IRLA Stand or wear them on the IRLA Necklace.

    Are the coins really metal?

    Yep!

    Each coin is solid zinc alloy with beautiful finish.

    They're meant to feel substantial in your hand - these aren't plastic chips, they're collectibles you'll actually want to display.

    How does gamification with IRLAs work?

    Gamification works because the human brain responds powerfully to clear goals, visible progress, and tangible rewards.

    Most habit-tracking apps give you a digital streak counter and a notification. IRLAs give you a physical object you earn for completing the challenge - a real metal coin in your hand.

    You track your progress in the free IRLA Companion App, hit each milestone, and reveal the corresponding coin from its sealed compartment in the IRLA Pack. The tangible aspect of the reward (something to hold, display, and remember) is what makes IRLAs work differently from digital-only gamification. With IRLA, you have Memory Materialized.

    What if I miss a milestone?

    IRLA Packs don't expire!

    If life gets in the way and your goals fall off for a few weeks, the next milestone just waits for you.

    The IRLA system is built around the assumption that real life happens, not the assumption that you'll be perfect.

    What is a challenge coin?

    Traditionally, a challenge coin is a physical token given to members of military units, organizations, or special clubs to mark membership, achievement, or completed missions.

    IRLAs are challenge coins for everyday life. Instead of being given to you by a commander or organization, you earn each IRLA by completing real-world achievements you set for yourself - running a marathon, drinking more water, reading more books, watching movies, playing video games. Same heft, same satisfaction of holding metal that means something to you.

    Are IRLAs the same as achievement coins or accomplishment coins?

    Yep! IRLA stands for In Real Life Achievement, and each coin is a physical achievement coin you earn for completing a specific real-world milestone. They're sometimes called accomplishment coins, milestone coins, or personal challenge coins.

    The world of IRLA is the first system designed specifically for everyday personal achievements - fitness goals, life-stage milestones, habits, bucket-list adventures - rather than military or organizational service. If you've been searching for a way to mark your personal wins with a real physical object, look no further.

    Are IRLAs a good gift?

    Can I use IRLA Packs as a 30-day or monthly challenge?

    Yes - many IRLA Packs work well as a 30-day or 90-day personal challenge framework.

    The Hydration Pack, Reading Pack, Drawing Pack, and Unplugged Pack all have achievements that can be reasonably completed in 30 to 90 days.

    Others (Bucket List, Strength Training, Running, Treat Yo Self, Get Out There) are more open-ended and meant to be earned in an unspecified amount of time, perhaps over months or years. Each Pack's achievement criteria are listed on the Pack's individual page so you can match the timing to what you're looking for.

    Are IRLAs good for ADHD or executive function challenges?

    A lot of our customers with ADHD have told us that IRLAs help in a specific way that pure digital habit-trackers don't.

    The combination of variable rewards (each IRLA Pack is different), tangible objects (something you can physically hold when you complete a step), and built-in novelty (different coins for different milestones, different Packs for different goals) maps well to how ADHD brains process motivation and rewards.

    We're not doctors and we don't make medical claims - but if traditional habit apps haven't worked for you, IRLAs may be worth trying!

    How is this different from Strava badges, Apple Watch rings, or Duolingo streaks?

    Strava badges, Apple Watch rings, Duolingo streaks, and similar digital rewards are great at what they do - they keep you engaged within a specific app.

    The downside is they exist only inside that app, and most disappear if you stop using it.

    IRLAs are physical objects that live in your hand and on your shelf for the rest of your life.
